Our approach
We aim to follow the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, as the website develops. This statement describes our approach and is not a claim that every page has completed a formal compliance audit.
What the website supports
- Keyboard navigation, visible focus states and a skip link to the main content.
- Responsive layouts that avoid sideways scrolling at common mobile widths.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and labelled controls.
- English and French content with language changes identified in the page.
- Reduced motion preferences for animated and scrolling elements.
- Optional third-party maps that can remain blocked without hiding the written address.
Known limitations
Some photographs and older source materials may need more detailed descriptions as the media library grows. The embedded map is operated by Google, so parts of its interface are outside our control. The organisation chart is converted to a vertical reading order on smaller screens.
Feedback and alternative formats
If you cannot access information or need it in another format, email reach@equaleduin.org. Please mention the page, the problem and the format that would help. We will review the request and respond as reasonably as we can.
Ongoing review
We will review accessibility as new articles, photographs, forms and WordPress-managed content are introduced. Clear headings, concise alternative text and keyboard access should remain part of the publishing process.
